Chris is a senior director in the firm’s property practice group. The focus and intent with which he approaches each matter are character traits that guarantee not only happy clients, but long-standing clients over many years.
Chris studied at Stellenbosch University where he obtained his B.Com degree. He then furthered his studies at the University of South Africa and added a B. Proc degree to his qualifications. Chris was admitted as an attorney and conveyancer of the High Court of South Africa in 1989 and has been specialising in property law ever since.
Chris finds the impact of ever changing legislation on the successful negotiation of a property deal and the resulting transfer of property fascinating. Explaining the interaction and complexity of the relevant legislation and legal provisions applicable to property transactions whilst having regard to a client’s wishes and best interests is a challenge he sets out to meet with each transaction landing on his table.
For Chris, the key ingredients to satisfied clients are finalising a matter as quickly, efficiently and expertly as possible.
Chris is a wine connoisseur and takes delight in spending time with friends and family enjoying good food and wine. He also enjoys taking time out mountain biking and is a keen golfer.
