Liesel is a qualified conveyancer and notary in the firm’s property practice group and is an expert in all matters related to conveyancing and property. Liesel’s exceptional organisational and managerial skills has made her a leader in her field and enables her to serve clients with only the highest level of service and customer satisfaction. Irrespective of the complexity or size of a transaction, Liesel ensures that the extra mile is always taken to ensure happy clients.
Liesel holds a B.Com LL.B qualification from the then University of Port Elizabeth. After completing her articles in 1999, Liesel was offered permanent employment at Greyvensteins Inc. Two years later, she was appointed as a director and shareholder of the firm, a personal and career highlight. In addition, Liesel specialises in tax with a higher diploma in taxation from the University of South Africa. This makes her uniquely positioned to provide tailored fiduciary, corporate and commercial services and solutions that are also tax efficient. The ever-changing property market and finance environment keeps Liesel on her toes as she views constant research and improvement of her team’s procedures and tools necessary to guarantee a quality experience for all her clients. Explaining her commitment to the firm, she says that she trusts her partners implicitly and they work exceptionally well as a team, knowing it can never be better elsewhere.
Liesel has won numerous awards over the years, including the coveted Nedbank Property Professional Young Lion Award, which recognises new generation thinking and ideas in the real estate sector. A member of the Institute of Estate Agents of South Africa (IEASA), the South African Law Society and various business orientated and social clubs, this high-energy attorney thrives on interacting with people who share her passion for the law. She also lectures local estate agents weekly on all aspects of property law and hosts a bi-monthly property forum for local banks, bond originators, estate agents and property developers.
Motivated by success which she defines as satisfying clients’ needs, she is also driven by the pleasure of giving back to the community with the Greyvensteins Givers Gain Campaign, which was her brainchild. Her future goals include inspiring and taking inspiration from her fellow directors and ensuring that the renowned firm continues on its path of growth.
When she is not consulting, Liesel is likely to be liaising with home buyers, estate agents, bond originators and the banks. She also enjoys unwinding in front of a fire with a glass of champagne. The best part of having time off is spending it with her husband and two children.
